The Walkersville Southern Railroad presents:

"Dinner Theater on the Rails"

The Walkersville Southern Railroad offers a Mystery Dinner Train starting in June and continuing into September, running on two Saturdays per month. This is an event that lends itself very well to chartering for a company function such as "team building," recognition dinner, picnic, etc. The actors can modify the Mystery to incorporate key people from your organization. The Mystery Train will depart from the Walkersville Depot located at 34 W. Pennsylvania Ave. at 6pm (5pm in September) and will return no later than 8:30pm.

For induviduals, the cost is $38 per person. For those wishing to charter the Mystery Train for a private function, a minimuim deposit of $1,520 (40 people) is required. For every other person over 40 people, the standard $38 per person fee will be charged. Please call 1-877-363-9777 for reservations.

Professional actors will board the train with you at the station and for about the next hour, they will move about the train for personal interaction with the passengers as the Mystery unfolds. Passengers are encouraged to become involved with the developing plot to whatever degree they are comfortable. Some passengers love being involved - others prefer to observe. You are here for a good time, so do whatever makes you happy!!!

Attendants will serve you a soft drink and a snack when the train leaves the station. We do not serve alcoholic beverages on the train, however, if this is a special occasion for you and you wish to bring wine to accompany your Candlelight Supper in the Park, please feel free to do so.

On our trip back to the station, we will disembark at Walkersville Community Park to enjoy a delicious all-you-can-eat Candlelight Buffet-style Supper in the park pavillion, and, while you are enjoying your dinner, the Mystery continues. After dinner we will re-board the train for the short run to the station, and the solving of the Mystery.

We recommend casual dress and flat shoes. Our Buffet includes Country Fried Chicken, Ham, cold salads, rolls, butter, and delicious Gourmet Brownies for dessert. The beverage is Iced Tea, Soda, or Water.
